Seattle - Unburdening - Healing through Writing

This is an author/speaker creative writing workshop for people in recovery from eating disorders and other mental health issues. Kara Richardson, a National Recovery Advocate for Eating Recovery Center, and author of Gorge: My Journey Up Kilimanjaro at 300 pounds, and Weight of Being, will be sharing her story of recovery from Binge Eating Disorder and how writing and creativity helped her heal. She will be leading attendees through an intimate creative writing activity designed to help us access the healing power in writing your own story. There will also be a panel afterwards for attendees to ask questions about eating disorders, mental health, writing, and recovery.
